ISM Containers is pleased to announce a successful collaboration with Talus Renewables, a US-based company that recently deployed its innovative modular, containerized ammonia and fertilizer production system in Kenya.
The Talus Renewables plant, strategically located just outside Nairobi, utilizes power from an on-site solar farm to produce 1 tonne per day of fertilizer, with plans for a 10-tonne-per-day facility requiring 11.5 MW of solar power input.
As a key partner in this groundbreaking project, ISM Containers played a vital role in providing civil and engineering solutions, along with the fabrication of containerized housing for Talus’s essential equipment.
The scope of our work included the fabrication of cutting-edge Battery Storage and a DB and inverter Container. These containers house crucial components, such as battery racks, distribution boards, PV-DC combiners, UPS racks, cable trays, and combiner cabinets, ensuring a seamless power supply system.
Our comprehensive approach extended beyond the containers themselves, encompassing civil works for their installation and the construction of ammonia tanks. This holistic strategy ensures a robust foundation for the entire energy storage infrastructure.
In addition, as ISM Containers we constructed steel walkways and staircases, enhancing accessibility and safety, highlighting our commitment to both functionality and the well-being of those involved in the project.
