Our client, the owner of Mayfair Suite Offices in Westlands, envisioned a strategic utilization of surplus parking space to expand office capacity while maintaining functionality. Seeking a solution that balanced practicality with modern aesthetics, they engaged us at ISM Containers to actualize their vision.
Our team of Architects, engineers, and interior designers at ISM Containers embarked on a project to design and construct six 20-foot container offices, tailored to accommodate the site’s natural slope while maximizing parking space. Through careful planning and innovative design, we elevated the containers 2.5 meters above ground, resting them on a sturdy steel platform.
The container offices were greatly crafted with floor-height tinted windows, complemented by dark grey Alucobond cladding for a contemporary appearance. Both the exterior and interior received thoughtful finishes, with composite timber flooring and ceramic tiling adding to the overall appeal.Ensuring accessibility and safety, we incorporated a 1-meter-wide corridor with glass railings around the deck, accompanied by steel staircases at each end of the structure. Additionally, our design integrated essential facilities, including a 20-foot container ablution block and a boardroom crafted from container off-cuts.
Completing the project with box profile roofing and Alucobond fascia, we ensured a cohesive and polished look that harmonized with the existing architecture.
The transformation of surplus parking space into a sophisticated office complex surpassed expectations. Our solution not only expanded office capacity but also retained valuable parking space.
